Sunday May 25th - Headlined by post-punk powerhouses Shame, the summer lineup also features Bristol alt-folk riser Katy J Pearson, Australian psych-fuzz favourites Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, thrilling rockers Man/Woman/Chainsaw, indie stalwarts Swim Deep & post-punk fast-riders DEADLETTER alongside a host of the North East’s finest talent.

Friday May 23rd - 2025 will see goth-indie legends The Horrors open the festival with an opening party at The Exchange 1856.

Saturday May 24th - 2025 will see A Stone’s Throw host a Saturday night opening party at King Street Social Club ft. Tynesides Lanterns on the Lake (2020 Mercury Prize Nominees).

Debuting in 2022, A Stone’s Throw’s first two events have featured 100+ artists, swarming Newcastle's coastline and forming the first North East coastal music trail between Tynemouth and North Shields, with the likes of White Lies, Sundara Karma, Sam Tompkins, Pip Blom, Berwyn, Lauren Hibberd and Heidi Curtis all on the bill. Transforming coffee shops, event warehouses, CBD dispensaries, and working men's clubs into fully fledged music venues for the day, the festival also collaborated with Go North East and North Tyneside Council to provide an open top double decker bus service, transporting wristband holders from venue to venue, whilst live brass bands performed on the upper deck.

Now taking place solely in North Shields, A Stone’s Throw will be run in association with the council-led scheme NS 800 (a year-long calendar of exciting events that celebrates North Shields past, present and future), as part of the town’s 800th year celebrations.

The Go North East bus service will once again be included in the Sunday ticket price, and will run an even quicker service between the 5 participating venues The Exchange 1856, King Street Social Club, Salt Market Social, Three Tanners Bank and The Engine Room, ensuring the festival is primed to provide another refreshing, unique and memorable music festival experience.
